#visual identity

The coronavirus represented a special time in our lives. It made many people rethink plans, stop projects and give up some dreams. One such project was the naan restaurant project. Authentic Indian cuisine, served in a modern European style, Indian streetfood in the centre of Wroclaw, Poland. A vision of a unique gastro concept that excited us. This is exactly the type of project we do with great gusto. Moreover, with a creative and enlightened investor. The task of our graphic design studio was to create a visual identity for the innovative bistro and prepare a marketing and communication strategy for the opening of the business.

cool "Indian" name

At the time of the onset of the first wave of the pandemic, we started working on a name proposal. Very soon, the simple "naan" won out; the popular bread roll is typical of Indian streetfood, and when paired with the domain name "guru", it's simply perfect. Thus naan.guru.

branding

We wanted to free the design from the typical Indian ornamentalism. We were looking for a purely contemporary concept, an identity based on Western visual tradition, on modern typography, but with a clear, at first glance noticeable and understandable "Indian" accent. A logo as sharp as a vindaloo, like Helvetica served with a spicy curry.
