The redesign process begins, as most major changes do, with a cleanup. You need to decide what to throw away. In the case of the visual identity for P-LAB, the logo was retained. However, variations of its use were redefined, and the color scheme of the logo was reduced to a single color - black.

The reduction of colour created space for the design of additional elements that will add the necessary colour and character to the visual identity. The visual style was redefined by means of colourful paterns - structures composed of amorphous shapes that are associations of views into the micro world of laboratory samples, biological materials, cells or molecules.

Iconography

The set of icons that reduce the P-LAB assortment and processes to the simplest, most generic shapes possible also serves as a brand identifier, as an integral part of the identity. That this concept works well can be seen, for example, in the design of the trade fair stand.

new P-LAB after thirty years

P-LAB celebrated 30 years on the market in the Czech Republic. The company, which is now run by the second generation of the founding family, is undergoing a permanent evolution, the visual component of which has been the design by graphite.studio in recent years.
